Christopher Sturman, Director of Craymere Consulting Ltd, presents his thoughts on the next steps needed to achieve a sustainable food supply chain.

Christopher was Chief Executive of the Food Storage and Distribution Federation for 10 years from May 2009, and is now Director of Craymere Consulting Limited, providing advice and project management in the temperature controlled food and drink supply chain sector. His career in the logistics and supply chain industry stretches from freight transportation, warehousing and distribution, shipping, and forwarding. Chris is a Fellow and past Council and Board member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK, co-chairs the CILT UK Retail Forum and is a member of the Freight and Logistics Policy Group. Since November 2018 he has advised DEFRA on Brexit Transition Planning and is an industry representative on the Cabinet Office/HMRC Border Protocol Delivery Group. He is an advisor to NATO on food supply civil contingency planning, and DEFRA nominee on the New Covent Garden Market Authority Traffic Advisory committee.
