Dennis Hayter
Vice President Business Development, Intelligent Energy
Dennis was part of the group involved in founding the UK fuel cell power technology company Intelligent Energy (IE) in 2001 and was a Vice President of the business through to 2015 and remains a consultant to IE on external programmes. IE delivers clean energy solutions globally for the distributed energy, diesel replacement, automotive and aerial drone markets and is working with international companies, to embed its fuel cell technology into applications across its target market sectors. Dennis has also been instrumental in establishing and maintaining a fuel cell and hydrogen industry presence to represent, promote and accelerate development of the industry within the UK, in Europe and more widely. He is the Vice Chair of the Hydrogen London group, a Director of CENE X (the UK Centre of Excellence in Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Vehicles) and Chair of the UKH2Mobility grouping. He has also been involved in various roles with the FCH Joint Undertaking in Brussels. An Economist by profession, prior to joining IE Dennis had been Managing Director of MERC (Rotterdam); a Practice Leader at the global consulting firms of Booz Allen & Hamilton and AT Kearney, and Partner with Roland Berger & Partners Strategy Consultants.
